We produce synthetic slag based on a mixture of powdered corundum and other raw materials with a high aluminum oxide content, which is the main active ingredient of the product. By combining synthetic slag with lime and other slag-forming additives, it is possible to create basic refinery slag with a low melting point. his slag is then active and fluid, which is a prerequisite for the production of high-quality steels with low sulfur content and no undesirable inclusions.

Synthetic slag is an environmentally friendly alternative to calcium fluoride (metallurgical flux), which reacts with SiO2 in slag to form the harmful gaseous compound SiF4, and therefore its use is problematic due to its adverse effects on worker health, the environment, and the service life of casting ladle linings.

We currently offer five basic types of synthetic slag, from which we then create the most suitable derivatives according to customer specifications.
